Description
The Beard Growth roller contains 540 needles which puncture the skin when the roller is rolled. When the skin is punctured, this creates a controlled skin injury. It does not cause actual damage to the outer layer of skin.
As this 2016 study of the technique explains, the controlled injuries to the skin lead to superficial bleeding. This triggers the body’s wound healing response, and the following occurs:
- the skin releases substances that stimulate beard growth
- new blood vessels form in the skin
- the skin starts to make more collagen
The tiny punctures that the roller makes across your scalp increase the blood circulation and the cell production, thereby stimulating new hair growth.
How does the Roller stimulate beard growth?
- increasing absorption of growth oils
- Increases blood flow therefore supplying nutrients to the hair follicles.
- Reverses follicle miniaturization.
- Stimulates hair follicles from the resting phase to the growth phase.
- Stimulates skin cell proliferation.
- Induces collagen production.
How to use the Roller
Before using the Roller, make sure it is clean and sanitized. Wash your face using a gentle pH-balanced cleanser. Begin the rolling process by rolling in one direction 8 to 10 times. Adjust the roller slightly, and repeat until you’ve covered the entire beard area. Likewise, repeat the process in the perpendicular direction. For example, say you finished rolling vertically, now would be the time to go back and repeat that entire process horizontally.
OTHER BENEFITS OF USING A ROLLER
- reduced wrinkles and stretch marks
- reduced acne scarring and skin discoloration
- increased skin thickness
- facial rejuvenation
- enhanced product absorption
